Friday, April 18
- Women in Business Coffee: from 8:30-9:30am. At Cronk’s in Denison. Membership is Free and unless it is a sponsored event, all participants will be responsible to pay for their own refreshments.
Saturday, April 19
- A Community Easter Celebration-“You Were On The Cross”: Presented by Grace E-Free Church’s Worship Team, Children, Youth and Adults. Event will be taking place at the Denison High School Performing Arts Center at 7 pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided following the program.
- Children up to age 12 are invited to the annual Easter egg hunt at the Yellow Smoke Park nature center east of Denison at 1 p.m. this Saturday, April 19. A fee of $1 per child or $5 per car load will be charged. Proceeds will help support the environmental education programs in Crawford County.
Tuesday, April 22
- Crawford County Beautification Day: Crawford County Women in Business invite all communities in Crawford County to come together and help beautify our towns. Pick one location or many. Join us at 8:30am at Washington Park in Denison. Bring volunteers together to pick up trash, paint, rake leaves, repair, etc. Every little bit will help in the goal to Beautify Crawford County. Wednesday, April 23
- CDC Annual Women in Business Luncheon: 12-1 p.m. at Cronk’s Restaurant. Featuring a special presentation from local celebrity, Angie Rosener. Join us to celebrate the working women of Crawford County. This event is sponsored by the CDC and is proud to recognize the achievements of our women in business. Tickets are $15 each. Thursday, April 24
- The April Lunch & Learn event at Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) on Thursday, April 24, will focus on long-term healthcare decisions. The Lunch & Learn take begin at noon and will be in meeting room B at MRHC. The Lunch & Learn programs are free and open to the public. Saturday, April 26
- 5th Annual Bubba’s Shuffle: 4 mile walk/run at Yellowsmoke Park. Registration 9-9:45am. Cost is $20 per person before March 31st. Join us in doing something about Child Abuse! For more information call Julie Brown at 712-267-8105.
- 1st Denison TRYathalon: 9:00am – Registration begins at 8:00am. Rain Date May 10th. Swim – 200 meters, Bike 6 miles, Run/Walk 2 miles (distances are approximate). Individual – $25 each Team of 3 – $40. Register by April 11th. Questions? Contact Brian Kempfert at 712.263.8130
Sunday, April 27
- Father Daughter Dance sponsored by Our Savior Lutheran Church: Event is from 4 -6 pm. at Boulders Conference Center. Cost is $5 per person and includes a free photo. There will be dancing, treats, crafts and more! All ages are invited and Grandpa’s are welcome to attend too! For more information, contact Shelly McMullen at 263-3282.
- Area high school seniors will be honored on Sunday, April 27, at the 12th annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m.

In all, 435 high school seniors will be honored. The seniors were selected by their high schools as their highest academic achievers.
- Denison summer recreation forms for minor league baseball and softball and tennis are available. Forms must be returned to the aquatic center by Friday, May 16.
