Saturday, February 14

  • The Boy Scouts of Troop 55 in Denison will conduct their February paper drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, at the Pronto parking lot.
  • The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will meet at noon on Saturday, February 14, at Cronk’s Café in Denison. The speaker will address “50 x 2020” concerning the gender balance law.
  • The prize in this Saturday’s Jackpot Grand Giveaway will be $600. The name of two potential winners will be announced at noon at participating businesses.

  • Vail Sesquicentennial Pork Chop Dinner: At the Vail Community Center — Serving by Staley’s, 5-8 pm. Advance Tickets — $20 per person/$35 per couple. Tickets At The Door — $25 per person/40 per couple. Mark your calendars for the 150th celebration — Labor Day Weekend 2017.
  • Legislative Coffee 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cronk’s Restaurant in the Angus Room. Come to share your thoughts and concerns with our legislators.
  • A Night To Remember: Hosted by Denison Hy-Vee at Boulder’s Conference Center in Denison. Buffet dinner from 6-7:30pm. Entertainment from 8-10pm. Featuring local hit country artists, Angie Rosener and John Thies. Tickets available at Hy-Vee, 1426 Broadway, Denison. Hy-Vee/Boulders Inn – A Night To Remember Make your Evening Extra Special: Book a standard room for $75, with a treat in your room.

Tuesday, February 17

  • Lunch and Learn: The Buy Eat Live Healthy lunch and learns are FREE to participants, at Noon at CCMH. Seats are limited so please RSVP by calling the Public Health office at 712-263-3303.
  • Couple’s Love Bird Painting Class: taking place at the beautiful Crawford County Yellow Smoke, Lookout Shelter. At 6:00pm, cost is only $30 per couple. Couples will choose between painting a 20×16 piece together or painting two 12×12 canvases, both of love birds! Please call the Crawford County Conversation Board at the court house 263-2748
