Friday, September 5

• On Thursday, September 4, and Friday, September 5, HyVee of Denison will host a grill-out in which all proceeds will go to WESCO. Items for sale will be hamburgers, quarter-pound hot dogs, brats, chicken breast, pork loin, chips, pop and water.

• First Friday Films “Office Space”: At the Donna Reed Theatre at 7:00pm. This movie is sponsored by Bonner Law, PLC and Crawford County Abstract. Tickets: $5.00 at the Donna Reed Theater.
• CyDay Friday tailgating at the Crawford County Extension office: at 35 S. Main St. Denison from 11am-1:30pm join us for a grill out and some fun tailgating games. Even a tailgating tent and ISU bus will be in front of our office over your lunch hour come join us, this is a free event.
• Women in Business Impact Organization: from 8:30-9:30am. At Cronk’s in Denison. Membership is Free and unless it is a sponsored event, all participants will be responsible to pay for their own refreshments.
• Business After Hours at Judge Conner’s Bed & Breakfast:Join the CDC from 4-6pm tonight to celebrate the Grand Opening of the previously known Connor’s Corner B&B. Located at 104 S 15th Street in Denison.

Saturday, September 6

• Back Road Bash: Alpha Ventures & Beer Can Alley presents the Back Road Bash, taking place, at 1PM. This outdoor Country Music Festival takes place in Vail, IA each year, with some of the best rising stars and national acts country music has to offer. • Uptown Market: (Warmup to BBQ Fest-Sauce, oven mitts and more as we get excited for the Fest!) in beautiful uptown Denison from 10 am to 1 pm. Grab a coffee, walk the historic streets, and take in the sights and sounds of Uptown Market. Shop local retailers and unique merchants including: Fresh produce, plants and flowers, baked goods, handcrafted goods, gourmet foods and local art. • WESCO’s 3rd Annual Disability Awareness Walk: Registration at 8:30am, event begins at 9am at Yellow Smoke Park. All proceeds will go towards supporting the athletes involved in the Special Olympics. For more information contact Deidra Brown at 712-263-6141.

• Open Arms Pre-School Glitter Run:  This is a family friendly run being held at Yellow Smoke Park in Denison.  Beginning at 8:30am at the Beach. Cost is $20 per person.
• FREE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DAY for Crawford County Residents. Please bring items to the Crawford County Secondary Road Maintenance Shop, located at 1123 5th Ave. S. in Denison.

• Spaghetti Dinner:  Join the Reed House for a spaghetti dinner with all the fixings. Free-will donations for the Alzheimer’s Association to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease. From 12-2 at the Reed House, 2506 3rd Ave. N, Denison.

Monday, September 8

• Western Iowa Tech Board Member Meet & Greet:  Located at the WIT Campus at 3:00. Please take this opportunity to show a strong community support of Denison Western Iowa Tech Campus. The board meeting will begin at 4:00 and is open to the public as well.

• Tri City BBQ Fest Volunteer Manager Meeting: at 5:00pm at Cronk’s in Denison. Anyone interested in volunteering should attend.
• The Crawford County Hunger Fighters and the Siouxland Food Bank will conduct the next bulk food distribution on Wednesday, September 10, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 500 North

24th Street in Denison. Food at the event is made available to Crawford County families and individuals in need of assistance.
