  • Halloween Spooktacular at the Denison Aquatic Fun Center: Come and enjoy a safe night of Halloween fun with your family at the Denison Aquatic Fun Centers 2nd Annual Halloween Spooktacular! There will be games, activities, costume contest, haunted Glo-Ball mini golf, prizes, and a Dive In Movie. This year’s movie will be a double feature: Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown & ParaNorman. Time: 6:30pm – 10:00pm. Costume contest will be from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Winners announced at 8:30pm Cost: Adults – $3.00 Children (6-17) – $2.00 Children (5 & Under are FREE).
  • Crawford County Youth Outdoor Day: from 8:30-3:00. Check in at 7:30-8:15. Each participant involved will participate in two rounds of trap shooting, 22 rifle shooting, pellet gun shooting, archery, trapping classes and a two hour guided pheasant hunt. Lunch will be served. This is limited to the first 60 participants in 6th, 7th or 8th grade who register. The cost is $10 per participant and must be paid in advance.   • The 39th annual Wine and Bier Contest, sponsored by the Schleswig Wine and Bier Club, Inc., will take place this Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, at the Ida Grove Country Club. Wine and beer entries will be accepted beginning at 9:30 a.m. on October 19. Judging will begin at 1 p.m. Entries will close one hour before the event starts.
