Friday, November 7
- First Friday Films presents “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”: At the Donna Reed Theatre. Only $5. 7:00pm show time. Sponsored by Buena Vista University.
- Women in Business Impact Organization: from 8:30-9:30am. At Cronk’s in Denison. Membership is Free and unless it is a sponsored event, all participants will be responsible to pay for their own refreshments.
- Denison High School will present the musical “Chicago,” written by Fred Ebb and John Kander, on Frday and Saturday, November 7 and 8, at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Saturday, November 8
- The Boy Scouts of Troop 55 in Denison will conduct their November paper drive on Saturday, November 8, at the WalMart parking lot. The Boy Scouts will be there from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help unload tied, bundles or sacked newspapers.
- Fall & Winter Art & Craft Expo & St. Rose Bake Sale, Breakfast 7:30 to 10:30. Lunch 10:30 to 1:30. Fair open until 3:00.
- Denison Library Friends Annual Recycle Christmas and Bake Sale. 9 am – 1 pm. Upstairs Meeting Room of Norelius Community Library, Denison.
Monday, November 10
- LifeServe blood drive, Monday, November 10, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Crawford County Memorial Hospital, 100 Medical Parkway, Denison.
Tuesday, November 11
- Veteran’s Day: At 11:00am there will be a ceremony to remember those who have fought for our country. Join us at the Crawford County Courthouse.
Wednesday, November 12
- Ambassador Call at Norelius & Nelson Law Firm: Join us at 8:30am to welcome new attorney, Chris Jones to the community. Located at 1317 Broadway in Denison.
- The 28th annual Christmas Crusade for Children will begin airing on KDSN Radio on Wednesday, November 12. The goal of the program is to identify children age 13 and younger who, due to family financial restraints, may not be receiving anything for Christmas. A list containing the ages, gender and gift requests of the children is given to KDSN, which announces the information on the air to encourage citizens and organizations from the community to purchase gifts for the children.

Western Iowa · Entrepreneur & Small Business Conference: The CDC’s day-long conference for new entrepreneurs puts all the resources you need in one room, inspiring you to take the leap and successfully run your own small business! Your $30 admission includes breakfast and lunch, five educational sessions ranging from financing to “legal stuff”, and an inspiring keynote from our special guest speaker, Steve Linn (highly successful) owner of The Iowa Craft Beer Tent! Event is 8am-4pm, concluding with a special networking session featuring a variety of Iowa made beers!
