  • Track and Field: State Meet at Des Moines, TBA.
  • Golf: Class 1A, 2A, 3A Boys District Tournaments, TBA.
  • Soccer: Denison-Schleswig JV/V B vs. Lewis Central at Denison, 5 p.m.

Saturday, May 24

  • Track and Field: State Meet at Des Moines, TBA.
  • Soccer: Denison-Schleswig JV G at Sioux City East Tournament, 9:30 a.m.
  • Tennis: Girls Regional Team, TBA. Boys Substate Team, TBA.
  • Crawford County Garden Club Plant Sale: At 8 AM in the 4-H Building at the Crawford County Fairgrounds in the 4-H Building. They are looking for donations for perennial plants to sell, please bring your donation on Friday May 23 after 3:00pm. The non-profit garden club donates to places around the county and offers services in the community. Anyone wanting to join can come to the Fairgrounds Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Plants go quickly so come early.

Sunday, May 25

  • A Memorial Day weekend breakfast will raise money for the Crawford County Freedom Rock. The breakfast will be at the Manilla Memorial Hall from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 25.

Monday, May 26: Memorial Day

  • Memorial Day Ceremony: at 10:30am in Denison at the Court House Lawn. Sponsored by VFW Post # 2504 and the American Legion Post #8 of Denison.
  • The Deloit American Legion and Auxiliary will conduct Memorial Day services at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 26, at the Deloit Hall, followed by the decorating of graves.
  • Schleswig: Memorial Day Services at the Morgan Township Cemetery will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 26.

Tuesday, May 27

  • Norelius Community Library Board 5:15 p.m., Tue., May 27, Library Meeting Room, Denison. Agenda: bills and accounts, Friends report, committee reports, upcoming programming, policy review, Rosetta Stone software updates, microfilming updates, staffing updates.
