- Donna Reed Foundation Annual Wine & Beer Tasting: It will be held in The Donna Reed Center and on stage will be a performance by “Cut the Rope” Hy-Vee caters the event. Look for all the usual fun as well as a silent auction of some wonderful items. This is a fundraiser for The Donna Reed Foundation. - Women in Business Coffee: from 8:30-9:30am. At Cronk’s in Denison. Membership is Free and unless it is a sponsored event, all participants will be responsible to pay for their own refreshments.

- Golf: Denison-Schleswig V G at Kuemper Invitational at Carroll, 8:30 a.m.

- Boyer Valley G-B, CO-U B at O-A/BC-IG Invitational at Ida Grove, TBA.
- Soccer: Denison-Schleswig V G at Monarch Tournament at Denison, 9 a.m.
- Manilla Madness Ride: Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Denison Hy-Vee Parking Lot. Ride begins at 9 a.m. and includes a scenic 28 mile ride with thrills, chills and hills through beautiful Crawford County. New 48 mile (total) option to Irwin and back! $15 includes a commemorative t-shirt. Contact the CDC office at 263-5621 to register. Uptown Market: in beautiful uptown Denison from 2 pm to 5 pm. Grab a coffee, walk the historic streets, and take in the sights and sounds of Uptown Market. Shop local retailers and unique merchants including: Fresh produce, plants and flowers, baked goods, handcrafted goods, gourmet foods and local art. - Cinco De Mayo Celebration: Located in uptown Denison. Event will include a Parade, Beer Garden, Dancing, Music, and much more. Paranormal Investigation at the Historic Klondike Hotel in Manilla: There will be 2 sessions from 7:30pm – 10:30pm & 11pm – 2am. We have been able to capture many EVP’s, communicate through a ghost box, communicate with K2’s, taken many possible Orb photos and much more. The cost for each session is $25.00 per person. - Denison Little League and the Denison Aquatic Fun Center this weekend will host a free Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition for area youth. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, with registration at 9 a.m. and the contest scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Northside Rec in Denison. All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent or guardian fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. - Live Healthy Iowa Post Party: from 12:00-1:00 at CCMH conference room D. A light lunch will be served. We will be setting up at 11:30 for anyone who wants to help. We are going to give away 5 CDC gift cards. CCMH and Hy-Vee have donated wellness blood work and fruit trays for the top 2 teams in weight loss and activity.

- Business After Hours at Boulders Inn & Suites: Join us from 4-6 p.m. to welcome new Marketing Director, Nate Houston to his new position. Hors d’oeuvres & beverages will be provided. Located at 2511 Boulder Drive in Denison.
