- American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Crawford County: the event will be held at the Denison High School beginning at 5:00 pm with opening ceremonies at 6:00 pm.

- 6 p.m.: prayer, raising of flag by Scouts, national anthem, lighting of torch by Katie Gehlsen and family

- Uptown Market in beautiful uptown Denison from 10 am to 1 pm. Grab a coffee, walk the historic streets, and take in the sights and sounds of Uptown Market. - The Donna Reed Center for the Performing Arts “Centennial Celebration of the Germania Opera House. Following is the schedule for the centennial and rededication ceremony at The Donna Reed Center.
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Open house. Building artifacts will be on display and on the theatre screen. Cookies, coffee and punch will be available.
- 4:30 p.m.: Re-dedication event with comments from The Donna Reed Foundation’s board of director’s president John Fujii and Mayor Brad Bonner.
- 5:30 p.m.: Showing of “Wide Open,” an early “talkie” that was first shown in May of 1930 at the Denison Opera House. The movie will last just more than one hour.

- Frederick Blanch will speak at Norelius Community Library in Denison at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, about his book, “”Last Words – Frederick’s Bionary.” The book is a witty, charming, sad and hilarious novel that encapsulates Blanch’s life as a boy growing up in America’s heartland during the Great Depression. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
