Friday, July 25
- Crawford County Republicans are giving away eight tickets, in four sets of two, to the Saturday night Monster Truck event at the Crawford County Fair. Anyone can enter the drawing by stopping by the Crawford County Re publicans’ fair booth. Winning names will be drawn at 7 p.m. on Friday night, July 25, a meet-and-greet with Republican candidates who are running for office in this November’s election. Saturday, July 26
- CCMH Day at the Fair presented by the Hospital Foundation of Crawford County: Games and contests for the kids all day with a comedian/magic show in the afternoon. Register to win a prize at the CCMH booth. Evening entertainment is Amazing Monster Trucks & Thrill Show. Join us at the Crawford County Fair for fun and excitement!
Sunday, July 27
- The Robert Henningsen Memorial Jackpot Swine Show will return to the Crawford County Fair this year on Sunday, July 27. Weigh-in will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. The show starts at 10 a.m. Organizers are Dean Henningsen (712-269-1903), Steph Henningsen (712-269-2230) and Jan Henningsen (712-269-6165).
Monday, July 28
- Reed House – Open House and Health Fair: From 2:00-4:00pm, there will be health professionals on hand as well as a blood mobile. If you have questions call Anthony or Robin at 712.263.8657.
- CCMH Medical Clinic is offering Sports Physicals for Middle School and High School at these locations:
- The Main Campus, 100 Medical Parkway, Denison, July 29 and August 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- The City Center Clinic, 115 No. 14th St., Denison, now through August 30, Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to Noon
- Regardless of location, the cost is $25. CCMH will not bill the insurance company, nor will lab or immunizations be provided. Appointments Required. Please call CCMH Medical Clinic (712) 265-2700 Main Campus 263-5071 City Center. The $25 fee needs to be paid at time of service.
Tuesday, July 29
- Norelius Community Library will host a magic show on Tuesday, July 29, at 2 p.m. Magician Rick Eugene will perform a 45-minute show for all ages. - Iowa Department of Human Rights-2014 Let’s Talk Meeting With the Office on Latino Affairs: 6:00-8:00pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 500 N 24th Street, Denison. The Executive Officer of the Office of Latino Affairs, Alba Peréz, will visit your community to start an open conversation about the relationship between Latinos in Iowa and state and local government.
