- Baseball: Class 1A District Semifinals, TBA.
- Denison Farmers Market: from 3-6 p.m. at the Northwest corner of Hwy 30 and 7th Street. Come check out the fresh produce from local farmers!
Thursday, July 17 – Saturday, July 19
- Denison and Crawford County Cat ‘n Dog Days: It’s one of the best shopping days of the year! Enjoy sidewalk sales, indoor sales and clearance sales during normal business hours. Every merchant in the county is encouraged to participate during these dates!
Friday, July 18
- Baseball: Denison-Schleswig V vs. Carroll High (Class 3A District Semifinal) at Harlan, 5 p.m.
- The Manning Heritage Park Gift Shop will award one lucky winner a limited edition Westerwald Team Gm1II History Stein created by artist Joachim Malessa. Funds raised by the stein raffle will benefit veterans and the Hausbarn Heritage Park, both located at Manning. Tickets will be on sale Friday, July 18, at the “Rock the Rock” concert. Concert goers are encouraged to stop at the newly-painted Freedom Rock as they head to the Heritage Hausbarn for the outdoor music. The stein has been on display at various functions and businesses in the Manning area. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Tickets are also available at the Hausbarn gift shop, the VFW club rooms, the American Legion, Templeton Savings Bank, First National Bank, Country Interiors and at special events. The winner will be drawn at homecoming this fall.
- The 61st Annual Black Hawk Lake Summer Water Carnival, this year with a theme of “Dream Big in 2014,” will run from Friday, July 18, through Sunday, July 20.
Saturday, July 19
- Joseph Hall’s Elvis Rock ‘n’ Remember: Three decades of Elvis Hits at the Donna Reed Theatre!! This is a must for all ages. Show starts at 7:00pm. - McHenry House Yard Sale: 8:00am – 1:00pm. Now accepting any donations for their Yard Sale. If anyone has good quality kitchen, furniture, or household items (no clothing please) they want to part with they can drop them off on July 17th from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. We would even be willing to pick them up if you call Connie Volkmann at 265-1285 or Penny Kinney at 269-3438.
- Uptown Market: (Dog Days of Summer: A Celebration of Dogs! Bring your dogs and treats.) in beautiful uptown Denison from 10 am to 1 pm. Grab a coffee, walk the historic streets, and take in the sights and sounds of Uptown Market. Shop local retailers and unique merchants including: Fresh produce, plants and flowers, baked goods, handcrafted goods, gourmet foods and local art. - Due to low ticket sales, a July 19 fundraiser for Crawford County Hunger Fighters featuring meals made by Myong Venteicher has been cancelled. The fundraiser will be attempted again in the fall.
Monday, July 21
- CDC Annual Meeting & Reception: Cronk’s Angus Room, 5:30pm. All CDC members/guests and other interested parties are invited to attend. Will include CDC updates, election of board members and presentation of the Annual CDC Business Awards.

- CCMH Day at the Fair presented by the Hospital Foundation of Crawford County: Games and contests for the kids all day with a comedian/magic show in the afternoon. Register to win a prize at the CCMH booth. Evening entertainment is Amazing Monster Trucks & Thrill Show. Join us at the Crawford County Fair for fun and excitement!
