The Alumni Association is taking Wall of Pride nominations for 2014, and the deadline is September 10. Qualifying individuals are those who have made a positive impact on the Denison Community School  system over the years and have demonstrated school pride. There are two ways to enter your nominee: Mail it to Denison Community School at 819 North 16th Street or to Phyllis Lewis at 2884 Highway 30 Denison, Iowa 51442. Nominations may also be submitted by visiting the Denison Community School website at http://www.denison.k12.ia.us, then clicking on the Alumni Association link and “Wall of Pride.”

Saturday, August 23    

4th Annual Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner: Located at the Dow City Community Building from 5-7pm, auction begins at 6pm: Sponsored by the Dow City-Arion Fire Dept. Dow City Community Club and the Dow City Business Club.  Meal includes broasted chicken, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, dessert and drink. Free will offering will be accepted. Zion Golf Tournament at Majestic Hills Golf Course: Tournament is 4 person best ball. Shotgun start at noon. Call the Zion office at 263-4766 to sign up or for more information.

1st CyDay Friday: the CDC invites the public to join our office in wearing Cyclone gear on every Friday starting the 29th until football season is over.
